NEXT @ SUNY Niagara

NEXT @ SUNY Niagara is an optional, pre-semester drop-in experience designed to help new students feel confident and prepared before classes begin.

You only need to attend one session. Arrive whenever it works for you during your selected session and stay for as much or as little time as you need.

  • Wednesday, August 12, 2026 | 9:30–11:30 a.m.
  • Monday, August 17, 2026 | 3:00–5:00 p.m.
  • Wednesday, August 26, 2026 | 4:00–6:00 p.m.

Registration is free.

Important Registration Information

NEXT @ SUNY Niagara is not a class registration session. Students should already be registered for classes before attending.

NFCI Orientation

All new Niagara Falls Culinary Institute students are required to attend Fall Orientation. This interactive experience will help you feel informed, prepared, and confident as you begin your first semester at NFCI.

During orientation, you will:

  • Meet your chef instructors, classmates, and support staff
  • Tour NFCI’s kitchens, labs, classrooms, and student spaces
  • Review important program expectations and safety procedures
  • Pick up your required knife or baking and pastry kit
  • Learn about the resources available to support your success

Online Orientation

Online Orientation is designed to help new students become familiar with SUNY Niagara before the semester begins. Complete it at your own pace and learn about the people, resources, services, and opportunities available to support your success.

During Online Orientation, you will:

  • Learn how to navigate campus resources and student services
  • Explore academic expectations and support
  • Discover ways to get involved and connect with the SUNY Niagara community
  • Review important information about financial aid, campus safety, technology, and student responsibilities
  • Find answers to common questions before your first day

Online Orientation can be completed from any computer, tablet, or mobile device. You may pause and return whenever it is convenient for you.
