Official Transcripts

Official transcripts may be ordered securely online 24 hours/7 days a week through Parchment. You will need to provide your Social Security Number, telephone number, and payment method in addition to other information requested on the transcript order form.

Fee for Official Transcripts

The transcript fee charged by SUNY Niagara is $10.00 plus applicable sales tax per OFFICIAL transcript. This can be paid online when requesting your transcript by credit or debit card.

Student ID Number

You do not need your student ID number to order your transcript through Parchment. The student ID number field is optional and can be skipped if you do not know your student ID number. However, you will need to provide your Social Security Number when requesting your transcript.

Transcript Recipients

  • Sending to a college/university: If you are sending an official transcript to another institution for transfer, use the search option to find your college or university. As you start typing the institution’s name, the search menu will populate with potential matches and show the detailed address where the transcripts would be sent. Please note that transcripts are ONLY sent electronically if ordered this way.
  • Sending to Self, Job, or Another Individual: If you are sending the transcript to a specific individual, job, or yourself and have the mailing address or email address, you can select “I’m sending to myself or another individual”.
  • Attachments can be included with your transcript. You may attach a copy of the document in the “Add an Attachment File”. This is typically done with any forms that may need to accompany your transcript.

When to Send Transcript

You will be given the following options when requesting your transcript:

Send NowSelect this option if you would like your transcript sent immediately. If you select the option to send the transcript electronically, it can be sent within minutes. You can also choose to have the transcript mailed to any location, including a FedEx overnight option. Additionally, you may sign up for text/email notifications that allow you to track your transcript order.

Please note that if you are currently enrolled and have in-progress coursework, final grades will not be noted until the semester has completed. If you would like grades included, select the Hold for Final Grades option noted below. If you choose Send Now when Hold for Final Grades or Degree should have been selected, then you will be responsible for requesting and paying for the transcript to be re-sent.
Hold for Final GradesSelect this option if you are requesting a transcript to be sent once your final grades for the semester have been entered.

Typically, these transcripts will be sent within 2-3 business days following the last day of classes for the semester.
Hold for DegreeSelect this option if you are requesting a transcript to be sent once your degree, certificate, and/or microcredential has been awarded.

Typically, these transcripts will be sent 1-2 weeks following the last day of classes for the semester you are graduating in.
Hold for High School CAP (College) CoursesSelect this option if you are a high school CAP student requesting transcripts to be sent once final grades are entered. This option holds the transcript until all final grades are entered by faculty and GPA calculation processes have been completed.

For example, if the course ends in June, the transcript may be sent in late June/early July.

Holds

A transcript request will not be processed if there are holds related to delinquent materials or equipment owed to the college.
