This course is a survey of Western Civilization from the seventeenth century to present with an emphasis on the Great Powers, the French and Russian Revolutions, industrialization, the World Wars and the Cold War. Usually offered Fall and Spring semesters.
This is a non-credit, workforce development course â a lower-cost way to build knowledge and enrich your education without enrolling in a full degree program. It's a good fit for anyone with a personal interest in history, or exploring the subject before committing to a credit-bearing program.
Coursework is delivered online through SUNY Niagara's learning platform and runs the length of the semester, with topics building week to week. Upon successful completion, students receive a Certification of Completion to document their coursework.
All Online courses through Workforce Development are open to the public, non-credit, and offered to students at a discounted rate.
