Interpersonal Communication

Program Overview

This course explores the fundamental principles and practices of interpersonal communication, emphasizing the skills necessary for effective interaction and relationship development in personal and professional contexts. Students will examine key concepts such as verbal and nonverbal communication, mindful listening, perception, and conflict management. Through a combination of theoretical frameworks, practical exercises, and group discussions, students will develop a deeper understanding of how communication shapes relationships and influences social dynamics. Additionally, students will learn to analyze and improve their own communication skills while understanding the impact of context, culture, and individual differences on interpersonal interactions. Usually offered Fall and Spring semesters.
