SUNY Niagara Commencement 2025

• Date of Commencement: Saturday, May 17, 2025
• Time: 10:00 AM
• Location: SUNY Niagara Main Gym
  • 3111 Saunders Settlement Road, Sanborn, NY 14132
• Graduate Arrival Time: 1 hour prior to ceremony start
• Parking: Lot 1 (front of campus, closest to Saunders Settlement Road, Route 31)

Graduates should report directly to the “Students Robing Room” (Theatre).  You will check in with the graduation staff to receive your name card and determine where to line up for the processional.  If you arrive late you will have to march at the end of the procession.  At the conclusion of the ceremony, you will follow the marshals in a recessional directly out of the gym to our reception area outside of the Learning Commons.

• Guest Locations:
  • Main Gym or Learning Commons
• Parking: No charge for parking
• Guest Entry to Main Gym:
  • Approximately 1 hour before ceremony
  • Tickets required for all guests
  • General admission seating is first-come, first-served
• Seating Protocol:
  • No guests allowed in the graduates’ seating area
  • Late arrivals must wait to be seated until the processional ends

• Attire:
  • Students should wear or bring cap, gown, and tassel
• Personal Belongings:
  • No personal belongings allowed in the Commencement processional line (other than a cell phone)
  • Do not bring valuables (purses, backpacks, helmets, bags) as there is no place to store them

• Flowers for Sale:
  • Flowers and graduate necklaces will be sold by NCCC Foundation volunteers in a tent outside before the ceremony
• Barnes & Noble College Bookstore:
  • SUNY Niagara and Niagara Falls Culinary Institute merchandise will be available for sale in a tent outside H. Building and in Lot 1 during the reception
• Graduation Celebration:
  • Outdoor graduate celebration in Lot 2 at SUNY Niagara immediately following the ceremony
  • Featuring picnic-style foods and a photo station
