New/Freshman

A freshman is a new student enrolling in college for the first time, with no prior attendance in a credit-bearing program at any higher education institution. Freshmen may be recent high school graduates or individuals who have never taken college courses before. They typically begin with general education and introductory courses as they start their academic journey.

To apply, submit the online application along with official high school transcripts or a high school equivalency/TASC certificate.

Once received, your application will be processed, and you’ll be notified of your acceptance status.

Home Schooled

New York law requires colleges to admit only students with a high school diploma or equivalent. To meet this requirement, SUNY has established specific admissions guidelines for home-schooled students.
