General Description:
Niagara County Community College has a need for a part time Music Instructor for our Foundations of Music Theory course.
This course is taught in person in a classroom setting on our Sanborn, NY campus. This is an introductory course that presents the basics of musical notation. Topics covered include melodic and rhythmic notation, clefs, scales, key signatures, principles of rhythm, and chord symbols. The ability to read music notation is the course content. The course is recommended for the non-music major or students without previous music experience. (Usually offered Fall and Spring semesters.).
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Three years of experience teaching at a high school or college level
