Academic Coach – Academic Center for Excellence

General Description:

The Academic Center for Excellence (ACE) at SUNY Niagara is seeking an enthusiastic and student-centered Academic Coach to support students in developing key academic strategies and habits. This position focuses on holistic academic development rather than subject-specific tutoring. The Academic Coach will work with students one-on-one and in small groups to foster success through improved study skills, time management, test taking strategies, organization, motivation, and stress management. This position serves both in-person and online students, offering flexible support to meet diverse learning needs.

The rate of pay is based on the level of education the candidate possesses. For a Bachelor’s degree or lower the rate of pay will be $22.52 per hour. For a Master’s degree or higher the rate of pay will be $24.76 per hour.

Scheduled hours can occur Monday – Friday from 8:00am – 6:00pm.

Required Qualifications:

– Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
– Experience working with students in an educational or support setting
– Strong interpersonal and communication skills
– Ability to model and teach effective study, organizational, and time management strategies
– Commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment
