Professional Tutor Tracy Solotes is a Professional Tutor at the Academic Center for Excellence (ACE) at SUNY Niagara, where he tutors students in accounting, business, statistics, and consumer mathematics. A dedicated lifelong learner and non-traditional student, Tracy brings a unique combination of academic excellence and more than 20 years of experience in the skilled trades, providing students with both practical insight and a supportive approach to learning. Tracy graduated from SUNY Niagara in 2025 with Associate degrees in Accounting and Business Administration, earning High Distinction honors. In recognition of his outstanding academic achievement, leadership, and service to the college community, he was selected as the recipient of the President's Medallion. Tracy began serving as a Student Tutor in September 2023, supporting fellow students through his graduation in May 2025. In June 2025, he joined the Academic Center for Excellence as a Professional Tutor. He is committed to helping students build confidence, strengthen their understanding of course material, and develop the critical thinking and problem-solving skills needed for long-term academic success. Currently, Tracy is pursuing a Master of Business Administration at Niagara University and is expected to graduate in the spring of 2027. He plans to sit for the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) exam following graduation. In the spring of 2026, he was a member of the winning team in the Cost Accounting Case Competition sponsored by Lumsden McCormick CPA at Niagara University. Having experienced firsthand the support and encouragement provided by the Academic Center for Excellence, Tracy credits ACE with playing a pivotal role in his academic success. He believes the center was instrumental in launching his educational journey and helping him achieve goals he once thought were beyond reach. As a Professional Tutor, he is passionate about giving back by helping other students discover the same confidence, resources, and opportunities that contributed to his own success.
