SUNY Niagara is seeking a Full-Time Surgical Technology Instructor who is ready to share their real-world knowledge, guide students through hands-on learning experiences, and help strengthen the healthcare workforce across Western New York.

The Surgical Technology Coordinator/Instructor is responsible for delivering high-quality instruction to students in our Surgical Technology Associate degree program, preparing students for entry-level positions as surgical technologists. The instructor provides classroom, laboratory, and clinical instruction; supports student success; and participates in curriculum development, assessment, and program accreditation activities.

As an integral part of SUNY Niagara’s Allied Health programs, you will provide in-depth classroom, clinical, and lab instruction, covering essential topics and giving students a comprehensive educational experience. You will facilitate computer-based scenarios to replicate real-life patient care, coordinating learning experiences for students. This position will also be responsible for student advisement and participation in divisional and college activities. These assignments are during the day, evening, or weekend hours.

This position may be required to work for periods of time in the summer months (June, July, and August as the Program Coordinator. The base salary will increase with the additional responsibilities of the Coordinator, with stipends in the summer.

Required Qualifications:

– Bachelor’s Degree in a health-related field or a closely related field.
– Current certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST).
– 3–5 years of recent surgery or teaching clinical experience.
