The inauguration is a formal ceremony celebrating the appointment of the new college president. It is a momentous occasion that honors the institution’s traditions while marking the beginning of a new chapter in leadership.

The inauguration ceremony will be held on Thursday, April 10, 2025, in the Arts & Media Theatre on the SUNY Niagara Sanborn campus. The ceremony will begin at 11:00am.

Yes, students, alumni, faculty, staff, and friends are invited to attend the investiture ceremony. The formal inauguration ceremony on April 10 is a free, general admission event.

Attire depends on your role at the ceremony


Processional participants: Wear your regalia attire for the ceremony. You may want to have a change of clothes for reception afterward to ensure comfort.

General audience: Business casual attire is the recommended dress code.

Students, faculty, staff, emeriti and alumni (not participating in the ceremony): Business casual is also recommended, but feel free to showcase your Thunderwolves blue and gold! It’s a special occasion, so dress appropriately while embracing your school spirit!
