Dr. Lloyd A. Holmes
Dr. Lloyd A. Holmes is a seasoned educator dedicated to fostering student success and removing barriers to achievement. He brings a wealth of experience to his new role.
Dr. Holmes previously served as the fourth president of De Anza College in Cupertino, California. Prior to that, he was the vice president of student services at Monroe Community College, a part of the SUNY system, where he provided statewide leadership on student success initiatives and addressed student hunger issues. His career spans various institutions, including North Shore Community College, Coastal Carolina University, and the University of Mississippi, where he demonstrated a deep commitment to student equity and success.
Dr. Holmes holds a master’s degree in higher education and student personnel services, as well as a doctorate in educational leadership from the University of Mississippi. His appointment signifies a new chapter for SUNY Niagara, and we welcome him to our community.
