Honor and Support Our Veterans
SUNY Niagara’s Veteran Association offers American Flags to honor or remember loved ones who have served or are serving in the armed forces. Flags will be displayed for Veterans Day and throughout November. Donations start at $1 (1 flag: $1; 4 flags: $3; 7 flags: $5). Names are optional; the veteran office can fill out flags on your behalf. All proceeds benefit the Veterans Association.
RPO determines eligibility and processes payment based on this information. SUNY Niagara staff members assist with general College and GI Bill® benefit concerns and work with other college offices to expedite paperwork on behalf of our veteran population.
GI Bill® is a registered trademark of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). More information about education benefits offered by VA is available at the official U.S. government website at http://www.benefits.va.gov/gibill.
From Instructions found on Cashier’s Page.
If you are a veteran or family member of a veteran and are receiving any VA Education Benefits, it is your responsibility to notify SUNY Niagara’s Office of Veteran Services of any changes you are making to your college schedule. Changes to enrollment may result in a reduction of or loss of VA Education Benefits, as well as debts to the college or the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs that the student must repay.
Active Duty Orders: Students called to active duty should bring a copy of their orders to SUNY Niagara Veteran Services (B-103). We will work with you and other offices on campus to help you avoid academic and financial penalties. Please refer to Important Information for Service Members Called to Active Duty for more detailed information.
