Honors Institute Programs

The Honors Institute houses the President’s Scholars Program and Honors Program. Students interested in participating in a cohesive honors experience at SUNY Niagara and earning the Honors designation on their diploma, may enroll in the Honors Institute’s all-college Presidential scholars program (requires 18 honors credit including a service learning project) or the traditional honors Program (requires 14 honors credits).

Chess Club is one of the many Honors Institute activities.

When I first arrived here at Niagara County Community College, I was not sure if higher education was the right path for me. But I joined the Honors Institute and Professor Pamela Lange was my Honors advisor who saw my potential as a scholar, and I will be forever grateful for her belief that I could succeed through high and low points.

Andrew, Honors Club President

Being a part of the Honors Institute at SUNY Niagara has been one of the greatest highlights of my college career. Through my work in Honors courses, I’ve made great connections with my professors and improved my academic skills.
