How Does Tripp Help Students?
Talk to Tripp initiates conversations with students periodically to understand any issues that they are facing. From their sense of belonging to working a full-time job outside the classroom, these conversations aim to connect them to resources and staff members available at SUNY Niagara to help. Tripp also responds 24/7 to any student-initiated questions about SUNY Niagara. For example, “How do I apply for scholarships?” or “How do I schedule a counseling appointment?”Why “Talk to Tripp”?
Tripp the Thunderwolf is the College mascot for SUNY Niagara. The school nickname “Thunderwolves” was chosen by a panel of faculty, athletic personnel and staff and it represents the “Thunder” of nearby Niagara Falls and the Wolf is an animal that once roamed the local area in mass quantities. My name “Tripp” was chosen by a student survey and it comes from the school nickname N-Trip (SUNY Niagara was formerly known as Niagara County Community College).How Do I Meet Tripp?
Talk to Tripp will send an initial introductory “hello” text message to every new SUNY Niagara student. (Students may need to update their cell phone number in Banner in order to meet and chat with Tripp.) Once that first text is received, add Tripp to your contacts and feel free to ask Tripp questions about SUNY Niagara any time!Key Features of Talk to Tripp (T2T)
