Advanced Placement

SUNY Niagara accepts credit for Advanced Placement (AP) courses when a student scores 3 or higher on an AP exam. In some cases, students must contact individual departments to learn how their AP credits are applied to a specific program. For example, SUNY Niagara ordinarily awards only elective credits for AP courses in art. To be considered for credit in Drawing I, a student must present a portfolio to the SUNY Niagara Art Department faculty.

For questions regarding AP credits and how they are applied to a program, contact either a specific division in which a program is housed or the Office of Registration and Records.
