Katherine D. Alexander was appointed the Board of Trustees by the Niagara County Legislature in 2019.  A lifelong resident of North Tonawanda, Katherine received her bachelor’s degree from St. Lawrence University and her Juris Doctor from Albany Law School.  She has been a member of the bar since December 2011, a member of the Tonawanda Bar Association, and a member of the board of the Niagara County Bar association. 

Katherine is First Assistant County Attorney for Niagara County where she represents the County in a number of civil matters, drafts departmental contracts and legislative issues and research among other litigation.  She is also an attorney in private practice including serving on the Attorney for the Child Panel, representing children in custody and divorce matters.  Katherine is also a member of the Gratwick Hose Volunteer Fire Company and enjoys spending her time training for marathons with the GOFR Running Club.
