Q: Do I need to be enrolled in classes each semester while I’m on the waitlist?A: Yes. Students must be enrolled in classes each semester (excluding summer and winter sessions) to remain on the waitlist. For specifics about your program, refer to the SUNY Niagara College Catalog.
Q: How often are waitlists reviewed?A: Waitlists are reviewed at both the beginning and the end of each semester to ensure students maintain continuous enrollment and meet all entrance requirements for their intended major.

Q: What happens after I meet prerequisites for my desired program?A: You’ll be placed on a program-specific waitlist. To stay on the list, you must continue meeting those prerequisite standards. The Student Success Center will use this list to place students into the program as seats become available.

If program requirements or the major change process are updated after your application is submitted, the Student Success Center will contact you.
