Part Time Physics – Technical Assistant

General Description:

Suny Niagara has a need for a part-time Technical Assistant to work in the Physics department within our Business & STEM division.

This position will help the Physics Instructor prep the physics lab to ensure that the intended experiments work correctly in order to successfully reinforce the lecture concepts.

The rate of pay is based on the level of education the candidate possesses. For a Bachelor’s degree or lower the rate of pay will be $20.60 per hour. For a Master’s degree or higher the rate of pay will be $22.66 per hour.

Required Qualifications:

• Associate’s degree or higher in Physics or a degree in a physics-related field with at least 6 lab-based science classes at the undergraduate or graduate level.
• Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
