Part Time Pharmacy Technician Instructor

General Description:

SUNY Niagara’s Division of Workforce Development is seeking a part-time instructor to teach a remote Pharmacy Technician Course (63 hours). While there may be the possibility of a future in-person session, current candidates must have the ability to teach online utilizing the Zoom platform. All instructional staff are responsible for meeting SUNY and NCCC regulations. This includes completing training requirements and utilizing NCCC’s email platform.
This position is responsible for cultivating the department’s mission and objectives through student instruction, curricular design, and practical knowledge in order to ensure the successful program and personal development of each student. The instructor will utilize their educational and professional experience to foster a student-centered classroom environment that cultivates student engagement, growth, and career readiness after the completion of the program.

This position requires the ability to work autonomously and hold class as scheduled. The ability to communicate effectively with supervisory staff in a timely fashion should a change be necessary is a critical component of this position.

Required Qualifications:

• Three years of Pharmacist or Pharmacy Technician experience.
• Knowledge of current Pharmacy Technician Federal and NY State regulations.
• Knowledge of the CPhT exam requirements; and CPhT topics that the course will cover.
• CPhT, BSPharm, or PharmD certification
• Experience using Zoom.
