Part Time Host/Hostess

General Description:

SUNY Niagara has an immediate need for Part Time Hosts/Hostess to work in the Savor Restaurant at our Niagara Falls Culinary Institute campus located in Niagara Falls, NY. These positions will report to the Hospitality Program Coordinator.

The rate of pay is determined based on the level of education the candidate possesses. For an Associates degree or lower the rate of pay is $20.60 per hour. For a Master’s degree or higher the rate of pay is $22.66 per hour.

In order to build and maintain an active pool of qualified candidates to meet our present and future needs for this position, SUNY Niagara will accept applications on a continuous basis. Openings may or may not exist at this time. Applications are evaluated on an as-needed basis, and candidates will be contacted when the department has an opening. Candidates who submit their information may or may not be notified as to the status of their application.

Required Qualifications:

-Associates degree preferred; OR
-In lieu of a degree a minimum of one year of experience in the food service industry
Ability to interact with the public and verbally communicate and understand the English language, retain information and details, and physical exertion in the form of walking, standing, turning, bending, lifting, and carrying.
-Must able to stand for long periods of time
