Part Time Auditorium/Theatre – Technical Assistant

General Description:

SUNY Niagara has a need for part time Technical Assistants in our Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences Division to assist in the setting up and maintenance of the Auditorium/Theatre for events and programs.

The rate of pay is based on the level of education the candidate possesses. For a Bachelor’s degree or lower the rate of pay will be $20.60 per hour. For a Master’s degree or higher the rate of pay will be $22.66 per hour.

In order to build and maintain an active pool of qualified candidates to meet our present and future needs for this position, SUNY Niagara will accept applications on a continuous basis. Openings may or may not exist at this time. Applications are evaluated on an as-needed basis, and candidates will be contacted when the department has an opening. Required Qualifications:

• Associates degree
• Experience working with lighting, staging and/or sound for productions/events,
• Physical ability to lift 10 – 20 lb. objects,
• Flexible work schedule; dependent upon the schedule of events which might include days, nights and/or weekends.
