Surgical Technologist Summer Internship

Formed in 2014 with the joining of Rochester General and Unity Health systems, Rochester Regional Health was built on a foundation of providing inclusive and community-based care that is of the highest quality. Paid Internship: $19.00/hr Learning how to be a great Surgical Technologist extends far beyond the classroom. Our program is designed specifically for Surgical Tech students. Rochester Regional Health is dedicated to providing outstanding experiences to students in the Rochester area. The internship provides students with vital experience that will enhance the remainder of their college education and assist in their transition into their profession. The Internship Program Features:

• A 6 week paid internship

STATUS: 6-week internship program starting on June 16th DEPARTMENT: PeriOperative SCHEDULE: 40 hours per week for duration of internship ATTRIBUTES

• Basic computer skills.
• Demonstrates understanding of aseptic technique.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills highly desired.
• Enrollment in an accredited Surgical Technology program required.

Intern will rotate through and learn the following: Anesthesia Surgical Case Prep Sterile Technique Surgical Scrub, Donning & Doffing of Sterile Scrub Attire Surgical Instruments Sterilization Please note that internships listed on our job board are primarily posted for experience opportunities.
