Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly by preparing high-quality ingredients for our menu items. This position requires a strong understanding of food safety and handling practices, as well as the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Duties

Prepare and chop vegetables, fruits, and other ingredients as per menu specifications.
Assist in the preparation of sauces, dressings, and other culinary components.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including workstations and storage areas.
Follow food safety guidelines to ensure all ingredients are handled properly.
Help with inventory management by checking stock levels and reporting shortages.
Collaborate with chefs and other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation.
Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives and food processors.
Participate in menu planning by suggesting new ideas or improvements based on seasonal ingredients.
Skills

Strong knowledge of food service practices and culinary techniques.
Experience in meal preparation within a restaurant or food industry setting.
Familiarity with food handling procedures and food safety regulations.
Proficient knife skills for efficient ingredient preparation.
Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
Excellent teamwork skills with a willingness to assist others in the kitchen.
