Job Description:
Our Hospice Ambulette Drivers drive our ambulette vehicle or serve as the patient attendant for non-emergent hospice patient transport. Assist patients with entering and exiting the vehicle utilizing safe patient handling techniques, body mechanics, and equipment. Ambulette staff with EMT background will assist DME or Facilities team staff during ambulette downtime. Staff that are certified HHAs will assist with the HIU Home Health Aide duties between patient transports.
Experience/Certification
High School Diploma or GED
EMT certification or completion of a NYSHD approved Home Health Care training with Home Health Aide Certification including patient transport experience
Valid Driver’s license, free of serious violations
EMT experience preferred
Hospice experience helpful
