As a Behavioral Health Assistant at Horizon, you will…

Perform hourly building rounds to ensure patient safety.
Complete room searches throughout the facility.
Administer toxicology screenings.
Supervise wellness and family group activities.
Guide patients through the challenges of recovery.
Transport patients to medical appointments or other facilities and back as needed. (This is about 10% of the job duties)

What makes you a great candidate?

We can’t wait to learn more about you! Here are a few specifics of what you’ll need for the job:

An Associate’s degree and 1 year of relevant experience.
Relevant experience includes previous work in a behavioral health setting or customer service role.

High School Diploma or equivalent with 2 years of relevant experience.
Relevant experience includes previous work in a behavioral health setting or customer service role.
A clean, valid, NYS driver’s license, and three years of driving experience as a licensed driver.
Driving is about 10% of this role’s job duties.
Location:

Horizon Village Campus in Sanborn, NY is composed of four residential buildings: Aurora Village, Delta Village, Freedom Village, and Horizon Village, along with our innovative Wellness Center. Our intensive residential treatment facilities are dedicated to the total care of adults with substance use disorders.

Hours:

This position is full-time Wednesday – Saturday 1:00pm – 11:00pm.

Compensation:

Horizon is consistently evaluating our compensation and benefit packages to ensure we remain competitive. The range of pay for this position is $18.45 – $19.50. Starting pay may be impacted based on experience and education. You’ll earn an additional 25% shift differential for any work hours that fall between the hours of 7pm-7am. Compensation adjustments are evaluated annually.

Physical demands associated with this position include:

Stationary posture with frequent standing/sitting alternation.
Mobility between nearby worksites and within facilities.
Mobility required involving repetitive wrist, hand, and finger movements.
Handling light duties, moving objects up to 20 pounds, occasionally up to 50 pounds.
Occasional operation of company owned motor vehicles.
