Your Contribution
  • Test set up of Automotive HVAC systems, modules, heat exchangers or sub-components such as blowers and actuators in order to perform performance measurements or durability life cycle testing
  • Learn the principles of a refrigeration cycle and the function of all the components and be proficient in diagnosing refrigerant system issues
  • Installation of instrumentation and equipment to monitor the test parameters including measurements of temperature, pressure and flow
  • Interface with computer based electronic test systems
  • Understand and execute tests efficiently and correctly
  • Observes consistency in test data, interprets results and report irregularities to test engineer
  • Learn to diagnosis and resolve test component or bench issues, perform basic repairs and maintenance
  • Ability to cross training in various Test Laboratory positions, become proficient in multiple test bench operations
  • Take direction from test area supervisor and senior test technicians for daily assignments
  • Must keep work area clean and orderly
Pay: $18.00-$23.00/hour Your Experience & Qualifications
  • In pursuit of a college degree in a related mechanical discipline: AAS Automotive/Mechanical/Electrical Technology
  • Effective interpersonal skills. Must work and communicate well with co-workers
  • Proficient with PC based software such as MS Windows/Office
  • Able to write routine reports, procedures, and correspondence
  • Able to communicate effectively with peers, managers, and directors, and to present to groups of customers or employees of the organization
  • Values and considers the perspectives and backgrounds of all parties
  • Ability to define and solve problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions provided in both verbal and written communications
