JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for determining optimized methods of manufacturing that best utilize company resources
and capabilities to manufacture products to customer specifications.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Responsibilities/Duties 90%
• Develop manufacturing processes and estimated times of completion for precision components, including
work-flow through the shop floor.
• Create new process documentation and maintenance of existing procedures.
• Provide engineering support to manufacturing group: improving and optimization of existing processes
and estimated times to complete.
• Effectively promote strong relationships between manufacturing and other departments to meet company
goals
• Resolve technical issues relating to processes through direct communication with supervisors, leadmen,
engineering, and sales.
• Document and modify material and subcontract processes.
• Provide inventory and work order scheduling support.
• Assist in documentation control and support such as: cut lists, engineering drawings, flat layouts, detail
drawings, and quality checklists, etc.
• Practice continuous improvement philosophy to help assure delivery, quality, cost, and company goals.
• Input corrective actions into Epicor.
• Finalize job travelers with leadman, ensuring that processes and material needed is correct, check stock
and order material through purchasing when necessary.
• Review and correct all jobs/parts. If necessary, update processes, material and revision level.
• Be sure that all documentation is supplied with job prior to job be released to the shop floor.
• Print travelers for leadman when requested or needed.
• Follows all company policies, procedures and work rules.
Other Duties 10%
• Performs miscellaneous duties as requested by supervisor.
• Participates in training and special projects as assigned by supervisor.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
• Expert at reading and interpreting engineering technical drawings, tolerancing, and GD&T.
• Strong understanding of manufacturability of various types materials such as Aluminums, Steels,
Stainless Steels, Tool Steels, and Plastics.
• Strong understanding of various machining and fabricating processes, and electro-mechanical
assembly.
• Comprehensive knowledge of types of tooling and machinery, their correct applications, and
proper use preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• An ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong team player.
• Utilize office equipment and computers and be self-sufficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel
and other software essential to their job function.

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS
• A.S/B.S in Engineering or related technical field with 2+ years related experience
• OR vocational or technical training with 5+ years applied experience
ERGONOMIC REQUIREMENTS
Sitting, standing, stooping, bending, primarily light however exposed to heavy equipment requiring lifting
up to 15 pounds, carrying, repetitive movements due primarily to computer work. All of the ergonomic
requirements must be performed without significant risk of injury to oneself or others, or otherwise
demonstrate or explain how one can perform essential functions listed above with or without reasonable
accommodations.
