- Prepare and cook menu items in accordance with established recipes and standards.
- Ensure all dishes are prepared in a timely manner and meet quality standards.
- Set up and stock stations with necessary supplies and ingredients.
- Maintain a clean and organized work station, adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Assist with inventory management, including receiving, storing, and rotating supplies.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth kitchen operations and timely service.
- Monitor food stock and report any shortages or issues to the Head Chef.
- Follow all restaurant policies and procedures, including health and safety regulations.
- Participate in regular kitchen cleaning and maintenance tasks.
- Assist in the training of new kitchen staff as needed.
- Previous experience as a Line Cook or in a similar role preferred.
- Strong understanding of cooking methods, ingredients, and kitchen equipment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to food quality and presentation.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Flexibility to work evening shifts and some weekends.
- Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects.
