David J. Haylett Jr. was appointed to the Board of Trustees by the Niagara County Legislature in July 2022 and currently serves as the Vice Chair of the Academic Student Life Committee.

David graduated from SUNY Cortland in 2010 and subsequently obtained his Juris Doctor degree from SUNY Buffalo Law School in 2013. In 2014, David was admitted to practice law and currently serves as Chief Counsel of the Niagara County Department of Social Services. In this role, he oversees all legal aspects of the Department. He also is a partner at Seaman Norris LLP where he engages in general practice focusing on real estate and municipal law. Prior to joining the Department of Social Services, David served as Corporation Counsel for the City of Lockport.

David was born and raised in the Town of Newfane and now resides in the Town of Lockport with his wife and two daughters.
